accurate estimate of the time which elapsed between the death of the mother and the extraction of a living child, and also because the operation was performed in a case of twin pregnancy. The general literature has not been consulted, but the standard text-books give little information upon the subject of post-mortem Caesarean section, quote no actual cases, and give no definite time of survival of the child in utero.
